Drew quickly leapt out of the way, one eye on Inu. He clasped his hands together. "Release." The golem evaporated at an accelerated rate and the water released itself back into the air. "Was that a diversion or what?"

Inu laughed. "Well, did it work?" she chuckled, pointing the naginata out before her, aiming the blade at Drew. "So you're good with magic, let's see how you are with a weapon."

Drew felt himself smile a little. Of course he was good at magic, he was a mage. He held his hand out, summoning a sword, the blade engraved with blue that seemed like lightning burn marks (if that makes any sense). "I may be a little rusty. I've been using magic since I got here, but none of my more fundamental skills." ^^

Miranda crossed her arms, watching the match take place. Part of her wanted him to lose so she didn't have to face him later, but another part of her wanted him to win. He wasn't number three in the Thunder Mage rankings for nothing...

"Well, I wonder if that's better for me then?" she laughed lightly. So he had a sword. At least that gave her a better advantage when it came to reach and power, but he would have better speed. "Show me what you got," she wagged a finger at him.

He glanced at Miranda in the stands, closed his eyes, and then he smirked. "Not the best idea." He was known for his one strike kill, but he couldn't use that here... This would be like fighting Jo-san! Awesome! "I hope you've got a good grip on that." He took his stance.

"I'd say it's alright," she grinned, but she tightened her grip on the pole anyway. She wasn't going to make the first move though. It would be easier to judge his style of fighting by the way he attacked.

Drew's sword made a very straight path towards Inu's naginata, his stance strong so he didn't lose his balance if she dodged.

Inu grinned and twisted the naginata in her hands so that it sould block Drew's sword before he could do any damage. That was one of the advantages of using a metal pole rather than the traditional wooden one, minimal damage and better attack resistance.
She twisted the pole again so that it redirected Drew's blade, before she swiped the blunt side of her own blade in his direction.

Drew moved his body with his sword as it was redirected, a technique Miranda taught him, and he caught the blunt edge of her naginata with the blade of his sword as he twisted himself into a defensive stance.

((I'm sorry!!!))
"Not bad," she laughed, before twirling the pole quickly and twisting around for another strike.

At that moment he looked like he dropped his sword and placed his hand on the ground, letting his own lightning run through it.

Inu could tell what Drew was trying to do, but instead of trying to dodge or get away, instead she just used her own lightning to protect herself, feeling only a slight buzzing.
Taking a deep breath, she realised she probably should have planned this whole battle better, completely out of energy. "I give up," she raised her hand. "I'm bored," she said, not wanting to admit she was drained.

Drew paused, still on his guard as he used his foot to flip his sword back into his hand. "Are you serious?"
